Northern Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Alliance (NATSIHA)
Location: Cairns, Far North Queensland (with regional travel for Project Officer and occasional travel for Administration Support Officer)
Status: Full-time (secondment or termed contract)
Remuneration: As applicable under relevant award
NATSIHA overview: NATSIHA is the regional ATSICCHO for Far North Queensland, representing and supporting a network of community-controlled health organisations across urban, rural, remote and very remote settings. The organisation is in an active growth phase, strengthening its regional coordination, internal systems and sector support capability. As NATSIHA builds its operational backbone and expands its reform agenda, it is focused on creating a more connected, sustainable ATSICCHO network and accelerating practical progress on Closing the Gap.
Positions overview: NATSIHA is recruiting two roles that will strengthen both regional project delivery and the organisation’s internal operations. Together, these positions support the infrastructure and coordination required to deliver meaningful, system-wide change across Far North Queensland.

🔸 Support planning, coordination and delivery of regional initiatives across the community controlled primary health care sector
🔸 Experience in project coordination within health, community services or government environments
🔸 Strong organisational, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills, with capacity to travel across Far North Queensland

🔸 Provide executive, secretariat and organisational support to the CEO and broader team
🔸 Demonstrated experience in executive support or office coordination with strong written and verbal communication skills
🔸 Highly organised, culturally respectful and confident managing competing priorities
Essential criteria:
🔸 Dual registration as a Registered Nurse & Midwife
🔸 Deep understanding of Aboriginal community control and cultural identity
🔸 Commitment to maternal health and wellbeing in a First Nations context
🔸 Strong interpersonal and communication skills
