The Elder Care Support program supports Elders and older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to understand the aged care system, including identifying the level of care and services required.
Our Community can receive greater local support, linking services with local knowledge, to access the right aged care services to meet their needs.
How our free Elder Care Support service works for you:
The Elder Care Support service helps connect Elders and people over 50 in our Community with the care and services they need.
A number of Aboriginal community controlled organisations now have a specially trained Elder Care Support Connector who knows and understands our people in Community.
Our Elder Care Support service now makes it easier to receive aged care support and care you need.
Please contact the service directly to be put in contact with your local Elder Care Support Connector. If you would like further information about the program please contact the QAIHC Elder Care Support Coordinator on (07) 3328 8521.
