QAIHC has always held, as a core philosophical tenet, the importance of community control and self-determination to the future health and prosperity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At our recent Mid-Year Gathering our Members reached consensus in support of a constitutionally enshrined Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.
QAIHC sees the Voice as an important expression of self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and is crucial to Closing the Gap.
