The Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC) is once again convening the annual State Gathering for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet funded Social and Emotional Wellbeing Workforce across Queensland. This includes SEWB Counsellors/Workers, Link-Up Counsellors and Caseworkers, as well as Substance Use (AOD) Workers.
Held in Cairns over three consecutive days (June 20th to 22nd) the event will provide an opportunity for the sector workforce and stakeholders to come together to share knowledge, ideas and practice as well as network and form partnerships.
The theme for this year’s QAIHC SEWB State Gathering is “OUR STRENGTH- From Then to Now”.
Through consultation at the three Regional Forums held this year, SEWB staff identified the following needs and are requested they be included in the program:
There will also be an opportunity to discuss regional training needs and how the SEWB Workforce Support Unit can continue to provide ongoing and focussed support.
