Our Leadership

Paula Arnol (Gunggandji)

Acting Chief Executive Officer

Paula has more than 20 years of experience in senior executive positions within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Comprehensive Primary Health Care. The majority of senior positions held has been as Chief Executive Officer in both an urban and very remote ATSICCHOs.

She has also held Director positions and responsibilities on CRC Tropical Health, CRC Aboriginal Health, NACCHO, Indigenous Health Equity Council (Federal Ministerial appointment) and NT ACCHO Peak Affiliate directorships. Paula has experience in governance and leadership within a community control framework, community engagement, policy advocacy, strategic planning and business development and implementation; providing extensive learnings and opportunities that assists her to maintain ongoing commitment and passion to seeing increased access and equity in consistent strong community owned primary health care services across Australia, in particular remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities.

Glen Peters

General Manager - Corporate Services

Glen commenced a career in the financial sector as a public practice tax accountant. After five years in the public practice accounting sector and having progressed to a senior accounting role, he transitioned to the commercial sector commencing within the construction industry.

Glen has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Southern Queensland, a Masters of Accounting from the Queensland University of Technology, and is a CPA qualified accountant. In addition, he is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a registered BAS Agent.  Glen was appointed as Chief Finance Officer (CFO) in December 2014 before later becoming the General Manager, Corporate Services.

Robert Skeen (Gubbi Gubbi, Mununjarli and Waanyi)

General Manager - Health Reform, and Acting General Manager - Sector Development

Robert has worked in the government and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation  (ACCHO) sector for 28 years, including in organisational leadership roles in the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. 

Robert was the former CEO of the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC) which is the Peak Body for NSW ACCHOs. While at the AH&MRC he oversaw the Aboriginal Health College and was previously a member of the award-winning Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) at the AH&MRC. He was the co-chair of the NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (CAPO) and was also the NSW representative on the Joint Council of National Coalition of Peaks (CoP). Robert is on the National Advisory Group for Family, Domestic and Sexual Abuse and is a Board member of the Lowitja Institute. Robert has developed into a strong leader who has a proven track record of high-level leadership through showing his passion for Innovation and Change Management.

Gregory Richards

General Manager - Policy and Research

Greg has 17 years of experience in the government and Aboriginal and Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) sector. 

As General Manager of Policy and Research, Greg manages key translational research projects, reports on key data to assist in planning and advocacy, develops and responds to policy matters and undertakes Secretariat Services for the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Partnership and the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Coalition. 

Previously, Greg has worked at Queensland Health in roles including the Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health division and Acting Director of the Community Services Funding Branch.  He has also held various roles in the Department of Health and Ageing (Commonwealth) in the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and the Allocations and Places Management Team. 

Greg has a First Class Honours in Life Science - Protein Biochemistry at QUT and a Bachelor of Applied Science - Biochemistry/Microbiology from QUT.
