Kerry Crumblin

South West QLD Director

CEO, Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health

Having been involved with various community groups over many years, the past fifteen years have seen Kerry Crumblin focus more specifically on education and health. Her motivation: “Knowing that I am helping someone to be happier within them-selves and ensuring they have access to services they require, when they require it”.

In the late 1990s Kerry worked in Administration with Queensland Health whilst also taking on the responsibility of founding Chairperson for the Cunnamulla Aboriginal Corporation for Health (CACH) which was incorporated in 1998. Her administrative skills were also employed within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) from 2000 until its abolishment in 2005. Her duties ranged from Project Teamwork, Policy drafting and assisting Aboriginal organisations through to Secretariat work for the Goolburri Regional Council. As Community Service Manager with QLD South Native Title Services, Kerry liaised with Traditional Owners to build both their capacity and to assist in furthering their Native Title Determination applications.

Kerry holds Certificate IV’s in Business and in Frontline Management. Her fervent wish is to see education of our people increased: ‘the system has let too many people down and without sufficient educational outcomes for all, the gap just keeps increasing’.
